Has anyone heard of the mad cow disease coming around their hometowns? I'm from San Francisco and I've heard of mad cow in Fresno and Berkley. Anyone hear anything like this?

No mad cow cases have been reported in the US from what I understand, but it is transmitable to humans, and you can get it even if you cook the meat properly.

Well... I think it has reached the US, but if I have it, then a lot of people have it, so we all are going to die eating beef with holes in our brains!
