we always hear about the affects this has on meat but i don't think i have ever heard about how it affects milk, or doesn't it?

Probably not. Too much pasturization an processing involved.

Raw milk however.... :shocked:

The prions supposedly are generally localized in the brain and spinal cord, so milk is an unlikely medium for infection.

mad cow disease is spread by a protein located in the nervous system. since the milk producing parts don't come in contact with the brain/spinal cord, it is unlikely. also, the pasturization process destroys most proteins. never drink raw milk however.
