just popped into local macy's (downtown los angeles) to look for shoes. they had 25% off clearance rack for a while, but for 3/27-3/30 they added another 30% off on top of the 25% off, and there's another 10% coupon/savings pass floating around (you can probably find extra flyers in the giftwrap department), also good for 3/27-3/30. should be national. going back in after work to stock up on shoes.

In today's San Francisco Chronicle, there's a 20% coupon for purchases made with a Macy's credit card. Shoes are included and it states "most sale and clearance merchandise" is included too. It's on the back page of the (non-war) front page.

Heheyhey. 25% off + 30% off +10% off is NOT 65% off.
It's 1 - (0.75 x 0.70 x 0.90) = ~54% off.

Great deal! I just got 2 pairs of shoes at about half price. I have been looking for months at the Ross and Marshals stores to find a deal but they never have my size in what I like.

I bought 2 pairs of Bass dress shoes normally priced @ 80.00 they already took off 25%, then they added the 30% reduction and then twenty percent for using a Macy's card.

price 80
-25% $60
-30% $42
10% immed $37.8 This is the price at register applied to card (75.60 for 2 pairs) + tax
10% at bill $34.02 (final price) This is a total savings of 57.475% Not Bad at all!!!

Thanks again Davemeister

yah, the 65% off was what the sales guy told me, but I know that's not how they calculate it... but "65% off" sounds better than "54.475% off" eh? :p
