I can't wait to see the slim notebook. If it looks good I might buy it when it's released. The other stuff (iTunes movie rental, wireless) I don't care much for.

I'm going to go out on a whim and say the new "macbook air" will not have a traditional keyboard but will be all touch like with the iphone. (zero keys)

I'm sure they will announce the new iphone firmware as well as the movie rentals thru itunes.

I really hope they have something for the imac....just some new speed bumps and a nvidia 8800 gpu....thats all im hoping for.

The AppleTV flopped. Are they really going to remake it?

I recall hearing rumors that they may somehow merge the Apple TV with the Mac Mini, with some form of an integrated LCD in the small form factor.

I can't wait. I REALLY like the MacBook and prefer it to the Pro because of its size. If they introduce an even slimmer version, that would be AWESOME!

I would say it has a high potential. There's tons of evidence in iTunes about Movie Rentals and the AppleTV would be the perfect way to do it. Most people I know who have an AppleTV absolutely love it. I prefer my Xbox with the AppleTV skin, but that's another story ;)

Apparantly there has been a bunch of rumors about an "airdisk". A 500GB or 1TB external drive to replace the NAS. There have been mock up drawings with it looking similar to the airport extreme.

It also would connect to a network wirelessly and be able to stream music, movies to an apple tv.

Again, this is just a rumor so who really knows.

My predictions:

itunes movie rentals
macbook air - an ultra portable notebook that is "lighter then air"
airdisk
iphone with 3g
iphone firmware update

An Airdisk makes complete sense. Apple has been needing a NAS or Windows Home Server equivalent. Time Machine's network backup functionality was heavily advertised until Leopard was actually released. Maybe they've just been planning on releasing it when their NAS came out. They've been pushing laptops too, which stinks if you have an AppleTV but your laptop isn't home. A NAS would fix the backup and multimedia storage problems.

Looks about right. I'd add an updated 2G AppleTV as well.

Ya know, I have to say.. It would take something drastic for me to upgrade my current iPhone. For me, 8gb is enough space and 3g isn't available in my area so I'm satisfied right now...

Integrated GPS would be nice, but with the SDK coming, its likely a 3rd party would eventually make an add-on (or at least add BT GPS capability)

There's no way they're gonna announce iphone2 tomorrow. There's been no talk going on about it. They probably are gonna release it later this year.

With all these high expectations, no wonder everyone is always upset once everything is announced.

iPhone release - July 2007
$200 pricedrop - 2 months later
New iPhone - 6 months later

That would tick off a lot of owners, myself included. They already stabbed all of the early owners in the back with the huge pricedrop, but if they were to release a better model a mere 6 months later...that would be terrible. 1 year please, Apple. Don't hurt my pride!

Did you see the iPhone firmware 1.3 video? It has some sort of quasi-GPS using triangulation via cell phone towers, or something. Not super accurate but cool nonetheless :)

I just checked out the new Google mobile iPhone web apps. It's much cleaner and seems faster.
Gmail interface is greatly improved.
