Mactel Runs Windows, but Do Pentiums run OS X?

I grew up on a Mac, but my interest in games and building computers (as well as budget) have prevented me from taking the dive and getting a Mac. Now that Macs will be running Intel chips and capable of running Windows, will it work the other way? In other words, could an Intel based PC run OS X?

If the answer is yes, could it work with AMDs as well? My very limited knowledge of how OS relates to CPU has made me ask this (potentially) trivial question.

The reason I ask is because I like AMD and I REALLY want iLife! Plus it would be great with my iPod!!

The rumor is that they will use my personal "favorite" :disgust: technology---"trusted" computing---to lock the OS to Mac machines only.

But this is only a rumor and possibility, so do not take it as fact. Still, I imagine that Apple will go to great lengths to try to keep their OSes on their machines---Apple is a hardware company, and they use the software to sell the hardware, not the other way around.
