Hi all, we have a client who has recently upgraded a couple of macs office system to 2016 from 2011, who are now having issues with these 2 machines changing the ACL of word documents on the Windows server. They will eventually migrate to sharepoint (good luck), however for now, whenever one of these machine edits a word doc on the server, it seems the mac pc creates a new file, deletes the old and renames the edited doc to the original. During this process however the new file is actually created in a sub-foilder (tempfolder) which doesnt use the inhertied permissions of the server folder. This means that the person editing the file become owner, and domain users lose write permissions.
I have found but 1 article on this, cant believe there arent any others....
Anyway, I both such and hate apple pcs, has anyone else come across this and perhaps a fix, as I cant found one...
