OKay, as the psu in my dads rig died yesterday we need a new psu. In a web-shop I saw a 400W Macron psu that wasn't so costly and since I've never heard about the brand I just want to knowif you guys know anything about 'em. It's on AMDs certified list according to the shop (cannnot remember the url so I can check it) so it should be okay.
I have a 340W Chieftec myself, if the other ones better I'll get that and give my dad the 340W, his machine is only a 1Ghz Duron but a good psu is essential, especially since it uses an ECS K7S5A which can be picky.

Duron List

There is AMD's list for approved PSUs for the Duron. It looks like the PSU in question is on there. However, I dont know anything about them. As a matter of fact, I have never heard of them.

Thanks, I found the Athlon list too now. As it's recommended for a 2000+ it should be enought to power my oc'ed 1600+, then my dad can have my 340W psu. I would still like to hear if anybody have any experience with their products before ordering one though.

I had a 300w Macron for my T-bird 900 it was fine until about 9 months after and then it became faulty so I had to replace it with an Enermax PSU,however it never gave me any problems before it went faulty so I was probably unlucky.

Yes they are approved by AMD.

I found it at a danish web-shop, shg, I've ordered from this shop before and they're ok.
It sounds like it's okay, will order it this weekend, should be here tuesday then. If it's bad I'll just go back to my 340W Chieftec, but the Macrons specs are a little better so I think it'll be better.
