Macromedia flash

Seems my Macromedia Flash has been crashing IE. I can disable it and not crash but then some sites don't work right. I uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled from their site but it didn't help.

As a trouble shoot, could you try a different browser, ie Opera or firefox or netscape.

That is part of my dilemma. I'm torn between Firefox and Opera and don't want both.
