Macromedia Flash/Shockwave & Vista?

Forgive if this is a repost...

Anyone make any progress on getting flash/shockwave installed and working in Vista 64? The installs seem to work fine, but pages that rely on either or both players still don't load properly, especially shockwave. Maybe it's just me, but looking around on google it seems like I'm not the only one. Anyone experiencing problems and/or know what's up with this?

Thanks.

The best thing to do is to use Firefox for flash on Vista 64. FF seems to have less troubles with flash on both 32 and 64 bit.

I got it to work on IE 7.0 with Vista 64 bit by dowloading and saving the .exe and running the install with IE closed. I got two error messages, just click ignore and continue with install.

Works fine, scroll down to If the ActiveX Control for Flash Player fails to install, download the executable installer. and download the zip file.

Thanks guys I'll give it a shot. The adobe website doesn't even list Vista as an OS for shockwave, so maybe that's why it's giving me issues? As for flash, it says it installs, and the graphic on the adboe pages works, but other sites are hit or miss. For example, the stattracker feature on my fantasy baseball page just won't load in true flash (I can force it to load, but it's broken). Oh well, season is almost over anyway 😀
