Macro or micro economics?

I didn't find either very hard, atleast the basic/intermediate level classes that I have taken thus far. Both have been more concept based, and fairly logical.

I'm currently in Micro and it is hard stuff....its taught at the Harvard level too, but I bet its still hard!

Stu

they're the same level of difficulty here. micro for us had more hw than macro. you can take either one first, probably the one with the later time would be best 😀

both equally boring, easy, and intuitive. i dont even remember the order in which i took them... if youre gonna hafta take both anyways then take wahtevres more convenient for your schedule

The intro micro course was incredibly easy and somewhat boring, but I did take it after 3 semesters of calculus (plus assorted other math classes) in the senior year of my computer science degree.

There was a tiny bit of calculus, which sadly the lecturer got wrong. So pay attention to what the book says, since the final will probably just use questions from the publisher's test bank.

they were both at about the same level of difficulty IMO.

i've only taken 1 semester of each though (just for the heck of it really)

micro was a lot more interesting IMO.

hmm...
I guess I am the minority, I hate macro.
If you understand the stuff you learned in calculus, you will definitely like microecon.

are you talking intro classes or theory? because my intro to macro was harder but my micro theory was harder.

In terms of intro classes I find that the micro econ I'm taking now is incredibly easy and intuitive.

I had to take macro, but not micro (micro is waived for poli sci). It wasn't hard, but the prof was a major douche.

From a logic standpoint I enjoyed micro, it provided a much more solid foundation (though it's not much with regards to some aspects of economic thinking); macro is fun, and easily applicable, but aside from it's everyday application I didn't find it that interesting.
