I had a Logitech G15 keyboard that allowed me to program actions within games a while back, do they make such a thing without the lights, or flare that I can use in a professional setting. I need to repeatedly copy out data from different documents, then paste them into a terminal window interface.

Specifically I would like to select the first two bits of information from the first spreadsheet, the next piece from a word doc, then another 3 separate cells from another spreadsheet. Then in the terminal worksheet, I would like to be able to just paste from those saved bits as I progress through the environment pathway in the terminal session. I cant write a screen scraper/entry because I dont have permissions.

I currently use Ctrl + C, and Ctrl + V, but would like something like Ctrl + C1 through Ctrl + C(N). Ditto for paste.

Unfortunately the source documents come from way up the company latter in many departments from whoever happened to be assigned that months duties, and there is no real standard that I "the peon from IT" can force them to follow.

If you get a macro keyboard, why would you want to use a ctrl key at all? Just use the single key.

Sorry forgot to mention that part. You have it though, I want the hotkeys for the Ctrl+C(1) through Ctrl+C(n).

How about something like this? http://www.piengineering.com/xkeys/xkdesk.php

Thanks, thats what I'm looking for. A little expensive for just the hotkeys, but it looks good for work, so I'll take it.

Thanks again,
Robb
