Macintosh/Parallels/Windows/Quicken 2008 Problem

I have a MacBook running OSX 10.5.7 with Parallels 3.0, Windows XP SP-3 and Quicken 2008.

The problem is that every time I launch Quicken, I get the "Welcome to Quicken 2008" screen. In order to open my file, I have to select "I am already a Quicken user" then "Open a file located on this computer".

Then things get really weird. The next thing that happens is a pop up that says "Please insert a data disk in drive @".

I have to hit cancel which leads to a file selection window ("Open Quicken File") where I can eventually find my file.

What gives?

Damn, they are up to 10.5.7 already? I really need to turn on my mac one day. I think I am at 10.5.2
Also, try the "All things Apple" forum.

I thought about the Apple forum, but it could just as easily be a Windows or Quicken problem.

The next post is probably going to be from some idiot pointing out the obvious but not offering any useful information.

Double post, time warp. Man, you must have been mashing the keyboard with both hands.
Now, wipe up the drool and calm down.

I have already told you once what you can go do. If you need a reminder, I will be glad to link you to the original post.

Can you create a shortcut to your .QDF file that will launch Quicken?

I use this as the shortcut target to launch Quicken with the file I want launched:

"C:\Documents and Settings\My Name\My Documents\Quicken\Filename.QDF"

I thought about that, too. I went and launched from the .QDF file directly and had the same problem. Just for fun, I made a shortcut to it on my desktop and had the same result.
