If machine A finishes a paper in 2 days and machine B finsihes a paper in 3 days, how many days will it take to finish a paper if they work together?

-how do u do these problems. im gonna get raped ont he sats tomorow if i cant figure it out!

machine 1 + machine 2 * number of papers / amount of work * day of the week = your answer

2 hours + 3 hours = 5 hours /2 machines.

How much will they do in 1 day? Go with a common denominator, so machine A does 1/2 the paper in one day, machine B does 1/3 the paper in one day. Machine A does 3/6 of the paper in one day, machine B does 2/6 of the paper in one day. Together they do 5/6 of the paper in 1 day or 24 hours. Add in the time it will take to do the other 1/6 of the paper. 😀 Hope this helps.
