I had windows 98 installed on a 500mhz celeron computer with bios BP8101A.86A.0009.P05. I tried doing a fresh install of Windows Xp but after the xp install needs to do its initial reboot the computer just keeps rebooting instead of continuing the setup. I reinstalled windows 98se and tried to do an upgrade and all was going fine unitl windows xp needed to start installing files where it once again began just rebooting. I've tried setting the hard drive as master and cd-rom as slave and vice versa to no avail. I was considering doing a bios update but i'm unable to find a newer bios than the one i currently have. Is there anyone with any ideas as to how i can install windows xp on this system. Thanks.

I dont see any reason why it wouldn't...this pc is similar to the hotwheels one that i think gateway was selling a long time ago
