Hey all. I'm currently running the following system:
Athlon64 3000+ oc'd to 2.4GHz
DFI LanParty Ultra-D
OCZ PC3700 running at 206 MHZ 2.5-3-3-7 (memory is sooo finicky on this board)
ATI Radeon X800XL
74GB Raptor
200GB WD
Audigy2
Two optical drives
Anyhow, it has been running without any sort of hitch for the past three months--I have had absolutely NO instability errors. It ran fine under prime95 torture tests, and I can play Half-Life 2 and WoW for hours on end with no worries whatsoever. Today, when booting up, I came to random BSOD saying "Machine Check Exception." I restarted and got into XP fine, and haven't had any strange problems since. I looked on Microsoft's web page and noticed that one of the reasons you could get this error is when you're running your equipment beyond factory speeds. Does this mean that even after all of the strenuous testing, my computer is still unstable? Or did XP just have one of it's off-days? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
