Is it ok to bring a razor like the mach 3 in my carry on? SOrry haven't flown in a while and not sure if i can bring this with me. On the TSA site it says that safety razors are allowed. Thanks for any info

Probably not.

[edit]

I mean on your carry on. On your other luggage that's stored then yes, but not on you. (I don't think.)

it's not a good idea. put it in your regular luggage, and if you're concerned about breakage, wrap it up in a pair of socks.

I'm fairly certain that you're not supposed to take razors on the plane in your carry-on.

Just put it in your check-in luggage.

I don't really like to check luggage, especially just for a weekend trip. Oh well I don't need to be clean shaven to see the family for the weekend.

tell airport security you have it and ask if you can take it with you. Tell them to have the skymarshall aim a laser at u for the duration of the flight if they are worried.

It should be ok as long as it's not the vibrating kind.

Me, while I'm heading west, asleep at Mach 0.83, or 455 miles an hour, or true airspeed, the FBI is bomb-squading my suitcase on a vacated runway back in Dulles. Nine out of ten times, the security task force guy says, the vibration is an electric razor. The other time, it's a vibrating dildo.

Imagine, the task force guy says, telling a passenger on arrival that a dildo kept her baggage on the East Coast. Sometimes it's even a man. It's airline policy not to imply ownership in the event of a dildo. Use the indefinite article.

A dildo.

Never your dildo.

Never say the dildo accidentally turned itself on.

A dildo activated itself and created an emergency situation that required the evacuating of your baggage.

So is the mach 3 a:
Safety Razors (including disposable razors)
blades not in a cartridge, but excluding safety razors

It is a blade in a cartridge correct?
I am confused on their wording.

Razor-Type Blades, such as box cutters, utility knives, razor
blades not in a cartridge, but excluding safety razors

No on carry on.
Yes on Checked.

a mach 3 is in a cartridge, I would consider it a disposable/ safety razor

they mean if you have it out and already stuck on to the razor.

no the cartridge is the plastic thing that holds the blades

by no cartride I assume they are talking about old school shaving razors

a mach 3 razor is still in a catridge whether it has been stuck on the handle or not

If you have to ask, don't bring it in your carry on baggage. Save yourself the trouble.

You're allowed to bring it, if TSA bitches at you tell them to read their own policys. I've flew with my mach 3 the last few times on southwest, no hassels.

Well just went through security at ABQ, and no problems. Its weird, i forgot to take off my watch but it didn't set off the metal detector, so it must not detect small amounts of stainless steel. ANywho just thought i would let those know who may be wanting to take thier razor with em. Will let you know about omaha on Sunday night.
