basically with a Mach3 I feel like I can shave in the same part of my face with multiple strokes and still not get razor burn...not that I would need to do that b/c they cut so well but hey, if u use them every day i find they last longer since your hair is shorter...if your beard is long i think it dulls the blade faster...

They last longer simply because the blades don't get oxidized (something like that) while being stored. You can achieve the same type of thing by storing your razors in alchohol when not using them this doesn't expose them to the air and keeps the blade sharper.

wouldn't this make the blue gel part of the blade completely useless? honestly, i use a blade until the blue indicator is almost gone as i believe the blue stuff really helps against cuts/burns. but if i soak my blade in alcohol, i would assume that the blue gel would go away... 😕
