I've seen a link to cryogenically frozen blades before and now I can't find them anywhere on this site. ANyone know where the link is to buy these blades really cheap??

i use the mach 3...much better than electric. Do the cryos last longer or supposed to be sharper?

dude if u think the mach3 works well with shaving cream, u guys gotta
try it in the STEAM ROOM....anyone who goes to a gym or has access to
a steam room has to try this...the beard just falls off...its the best shaving
experience ever

I can attest to that, or just shaving after a nice hot shower with a steamy bathroom.

they seem to be more expensive than the regulars though..

Uhhh.... duh? Hooray for Captain Obvious.

They treat the original blades to last longer and cut better. You think they're going to sell them for the same price?

well, i shave in the shower but that probably doesn't compare.

They last longer simply because the blades don't get oxidized (something like that) while being stored. You can achieve the same type of thing by storing your razors in alchohol when not using them this doesn't expose them to the air and keeps the blade sharper.

So you are in the steam room and just go at it with a Mach3? Or do you use something else (or are you just relying on sweat)?

That's why it's best to shave after a shower. The water will already soften the hairs for you.

does this really work?! i would really appreciate some feedback. thanks...

yet i feel like this hasn't been answered... do the blades really last longer??? feeback, testimonies, etc appreciated.

basically with a Mach3 I feel like I can shave in the same part of my face with multiple strokes and still not get razor burn...not that I would need to do that b/c they cut so well but hey, if u use them every day i find they last longer since your hair is shorter...if your beard is long i think it dulls the blade faster...

i've never tried putting them in alcohol but i should, sounds good...

Ive used them and they are so sharp and tough, its like a brand new razor for about 5 shaves... does an amazing job!

I tried some cryo'd regular Mach 3 blades and mixed them up with my non-cryo'd ones to see if I could tell the difference. I was unable to. They still come to you sealed in a box so there's really no possible way you could prove that they were anything different from the ones you'd buy from the store. If you had access to a metals lab, you MIGHT be able to analyze the metal composition but there's really no way to tell with a naked eye.

I've since gone back to just the regular ones and save the 1 or 2 dollars per pack.

wouldn't this make the blue gel part of the blade completely useless? honestly, i use a blade until the blue indicator is almost gone as i believe the blue stuff really helps against cuts/burns. but if i soak my blade in alcohol, i would assume that the blue gel would go away... 😕

This is true. I soaked the blades in alchohol once, and the blue stuff was basically destroyed.
