Why do guys like MacGyver so much? What's so great about it? I've watched a few episodes and I thought it was kinda okay. However, I just couldn't get past the bad acting, the horrible plots and the MacMullet. A lot of people seem to think this show is one of the greatest.
 
MacGyver is one of those shows that I remember as being totally awesome, but whenever I watch a rerun I realize that it actually sucked pretty bad.
 
macgyver was one of those shows like knight rider, at the time it was ridiculously awesome.

LOL, Grr we're bikers, we have no jobs and drive around terrorizing people as if we aren't human or didn't have better things to do. We're bad ass but can never afford to use a gun, rather we try and take out Nightrider with the use of hightech wooden bats and chains...............GRR!

I remember one of the few episodes I saw in reruns was one where this holocost survivor gets kidnapped by neo-nazis and put into a slave labor camp. Talk about being in horrifyingly bad taste....to tackle such a topic on MacGyver and, furthermore, to be so oblivious to the horror of such an idea. So, while I rarely saw any episodes my impression of the entire production team is of a bunch of tasteless self-important morons.
 
I watched it a few times and I liked the way he could come up with creative (simple) solutions to complex problems...and all within that one hour time slot.
 
MacGyver is awesome. Though it gets incredibly cheesy when he gets all environmentalist in your face. The feelgood episodes suck, the ones where he's battling the Soviets and actual enemies (not people who hunt in national forests) are great.
 
just a second and I will ducttape this transistor to my turky baster tranciever and manipulate the frequency with this bobbypin to stream my answer to you. With any luck the toiletpaper roll I am using has enough surface area to bounce a signal off my neighbors sattelite dish, and the picture will be discernable.
