Mace > Yoda?

maybe Yoda got affected by the Force lightning when they started fighting?

maybe, but mace was able to block the force lightning so easily...yoda can't do that?

also, remember yoda was able to block dooku's force lightning easily in Episode II?

🙂

good point, maybe Yoda/Mace had different range of skills - Yoda is able to see more clearly what will happen isn't he?

I'm thinking the emperor was holding back on Windu.

I kept expecting him to say "English mutha fvcka, do ya speak it?"

OMG. DUH you guys, the Emperor was faking it so that Anakin would have pity on him and want to save him. He was totally holding back.

I think so too. The emperor probably wanted Anakin to see and to help him. If he defeated Windu before Anakin arrived, then maybe Anakin wouldn't have joined him.

the emporer allowed himself to get deformed like that?

also, when one jedi kills another jedi, does he get the other jedi's powers like in highlander?

I ask because anakin keeps saying how much more powerful he's become after he killed all the other jedi, I was wondering how he got so powerful? the emporer couldn't have taught him so much in so little time...

The emperor either allowed himself to get deformed or deformed himself to show the senate what the evil, power hungry Jedi did to him.

Correct, the Emperor allowed his "defeat" against Windu in order to lure Anakin to the dark side.

I think he got so powerful because he gave in to his anger...

How was it that Mace could defeat the emperor so easily?

Yoda seemed like a n00b compared to Mace 😀

The emperor was playing. He was pretending to be weak so that Anakin would rush in and save him. The more the emperor used the force, the more he let go and channelled the force through him (the harder he throw force lightning), the more his body changed to reveal what the force had already done to his body. He was using the force on everyone around him to make them see a non-disfigured, non-ugly person when in reality (haha) he was hideously ugly the entire time, being physically mutilated by his overwhelmingly strong power with the darkside.

Yup. Anakin had amazing potential that everyone recognized, including Palpatine. Palpatine said that Anakin would become more powerful than any Jedi or Sith ever, "more powerful than even me" and he said it to Mace when nobody else was around. The emperor forsaw his own destruction by Vader because the way of the Sith is for the apprentice to attempt to kill his own master when he's powerful enough. If he is, he kills the master and takes on an apprentice. If not, the master kills the apprentice and takes on a new apprentice. This never-ending cycle leaves no room but for only the strongest Sith to survive and Palpatine knew that Vader would become far more powerful than even him.

who else agrees that the deformed emperor at the mace, emperor, anakin scene looked more like frankenstein? 😀

😕

Nope, Victor Frankenstein was never deformed, decrepid, etc.

I guess that makes sense 🙂

BS!! Yoda is just a little green muppet wimp. Yoda couldn't kill Dooku in #2, but Anakin easily killed him in #3. Since Obi-Wan then defeated Anakin we have:

Obi-wan > Anakin > Dooku

Since Yoda was only equal to Dooku apparently EVERYONE on the Jedi council could kick Yoda's ass. And don't forget that Mace Windu was beating up Palpatine BEFORE Anakin got there. So it was legit, not an act and therefore Windu had to have been stronger than Yoda too.

One thing I noticed is that Obi-wan can survive every single fight and win unless he lets himself killed as in Episode 4.

How come Mace, being the badass jedi that he is..cries like a little b*tch when his arm is taken off? WTF is that?
