I was worried. I thought what kind of moron using mac would even think about Windows, or ever want to? Like being a super health freak and wondering "whew can I grab a triple decker with bacon?". o_O

IPhones will be USB-C from now on.

I do thank Gizmo for giving me the opportunity to post this in OT and not the "proper forum". hehehe

Macbooks Now Supports Windows!

Man, this takes me back! They announced the Intel chip transition for OSX back at WWDC 2005. I joined a group online to try to get Windows running on Macs. Someone cracked then code & then it was all downhill from there! Apple caved to the pressure & released Boot Camp to make it official in 2006. Then someone figured out the reverse: Hackintosh! Which put OSX on a standard Windows PC, which meant cheap power! Looks like my last tutorial thread on it was back in 2013: (then I hit burnout & shut down, still feel bad about that, sorry guys!)

@purbeast0 There's a throwback link for ya lol. I think half of my professional computer education came from having oodles of time back in college to goof around with trying to get that science-fair project to work! I did a lot of virtualization with Parallels, VMware, and VirtualBox, and now virtualization is a big chunk of my professional career lol. I'm still on that 2013 PC at home (never crashes 9+ years in lol), although it's running Windows now...Apple neglected Final Cut Pro so long that I switched to Adobe Premier & haven't looked back since! Funny how much time I sunk into it & then haven't used OSX in ages (well, my wife has an M1 Air, but that's hers lol).

Then Apple made the switch to their own ARM-based chips. These days, I use an iPad Pro M1 with the Pencil 2.0 most of the time. I can do photo, video, CAD, sculpting, vector, notes, etc. on it. It screams & the battery life is actually amazing! Technology is bonkers lol.

Hah that was the start of the end of Windows for me as a primary OS. I am still rocking my 2014 MBP though, which I purchased in 2015.

i've also got a 2014 MBP that's still running great, but i don't use it for anything but music recording and travel

windows will probably always be my main OS, with ubuntu in vmware when i want to do some development
