Im living in my parents new house, so the nas and router arent in my room, the display is going on top of a set of draws and so i can connect it to my laptop when i want to do work in bed or in my chair, otherwise the laptop will go on the set of drawers too, thus getting the most use of my space instead of having a mini atx

How far are you going to be from the 27" display when you are using it from a distance? Have you seen one of them in person? They have a sort of set useful viewing distance, and 'across the room' isn't it.

We keep saying ITX, you keep saying mATX.

They are not the same.

An ITX gaming rig (yes, you can build one and it'll do its job) is like a 20-25cm cube, typically.

An i5, 560Ti and an SSD/HDD combo will fit quite happily into most ITX cube cases.

It's not trivial to properly cool an itx system while maintaining a low noise level though.

I understand why some people are willing to invest some time to get a more "optimal" setup but some people just have other things they'd rather be doing than worrying about this.

To the OP, just get the MBP and move on with your life. It'll suit your needs just fine and it sounds like you want it.

I had one of those hooked to a Thermalright SLK-947u all copper cooler. On a Athlon XP-m 2500+ system clocked at 2.4GHz. That thing was a screamer, both literally and figuratively.

Oh, geez, those were beautiful heat sinks. I only had a Swiftech MCX-462.
