I am writing on behalf of my brother who is in London, UK. He has a mid 2012 13' Macbook Pro.
He is a student and not that adept with the technicalities of the hardware of computers, unlike me!
Unfortunately his hard drive 'crashed' a few weeks ago. He took it to the Apple store, where they tried to recover the data externally using a caddy but it did not work. However, keep in mind, that was the Apple store, so I would not discount a more experienced technician trying it out.
Can anyone recommend a technician/business, preferably in the UK who can work on this?
