Macbook on 24" Dell LCD - DVI vs VGA

Is it worth going out and buying a DVI cable to use my macbook on my 24" Dell LCD as opposed to using the VGA cable I already have to connect the laptop?

yep...ive used my dads macbook with my dell 2407WFP on vga and dvi...and goddammit i just want to break off the vga port on my monitor and strictly use dvi. cant stand that blurriness...

Yes, it's sharper on DVI. My wife uses her MacBook with a 24" Dell LCD and there is a definite difference between VGA and DVI. DVI is sharper - it's like every pixel is lined up perfectly whereas VGA is just a little on the blurry side. It drives me nuts, so I always use DVI when available.

It's actually a lot harder then you would think to actually find a brick and mortar that even sells DVI cables.

well i found one in my cable basket 🙂

i knew keeping every cable ive ever gotten would save me $15 one day....
