MacBook Air - multiple displays?

Phynaz

Lifer
I have the opportunity to get a MacBook Air at work. I have two displays on my desk, what cables or adapters do I need to order to use them both?

For standard non-Apple displays, the single Thunderbolt port will support a single monitor. You'll need a TB-to-DVI or TB-to-HDMI adapter ($10 at Monoprice) if the monitor doesn't have a TB.

There are USB 3.0 to DVI adapters that would allow one of the Air's USB 3.0 ports to output to the second monitor. Never used one myself, but the reviews look promising.

For the first display I just need mini-DP to DP. Don't know what I'm going to do about the second (DVI) display though.

Thanks Stu. Our client engineering team is actually evaluating the docks, but I don't think they will have them ready before I'm due up for replacement.
