Macbook + 2 external monitors

I notice the Macbook has a VGA and a DVI output. Is it possible to run 2 external monitors off of them while simultaneously running your Macbook's monitor? Any products out there for this?

I think you're mistaken.. it's capable of either/or, not both. Unfortunately, Apple charges you $20 for each adapter... lame.

If you want to run 2 monitors off your MacBook, you will need to get

Apple MiniDVI-VGA Adapter
Matrox DoubleHead2Go

This will let you hook 2 monitors up to the DoubleHead over VGA. IIRC, the DoubleHead (and TripleHead) only let you span the externals, so instead of having 2 separate monitors, you have 1 large screen split across 2 monitors.

It appears that way, but even then you will still need the DualHead2Go since the MBP has 1 video out, full size DVI

Also....the Macbook PRO can run two external monitors, I don't believe the regular macbook has that capability.

How do you do this? Everything I've found says that you can run only 1 external monitor + the laptop display.

Well, both the MB and MBP only have 1 display output on them... but since the MBP has you know, an actual graphics card (im not bitter) it might be that it has the oomph to drive two external displays.

All I can say is that I have had a 23" Apple Cinema Display attached to my MacBook, and it was just fine driving the 1920*1200 resolution on top of the attached display.
