Mac Warranty

I think I may have read somewhere that if you didn't have OS X installed on your mac (ie just Windows or Linux) that your warranty is no good? Is that true? Thanks.

I took in an iMac with no hard disk and they repaired the screen issue.

So yes, they will repair machines without OS X.

I think that whoever told you that MEANT to say that service under warranty is limited to the Mac hardware and OS X itself. So in other words, if your alternative OS is acting up, that is not covered under AppleCare.

And depending on the issue you're trying to get them to fix you might be forced to go through the hassle of installing OS X just to prove/disprove the issue.
