mac vs pc

how come macs offer 8 core prccessors and 16gb ram on there top models and a company like dell only offers 4 core and 4 gb ram on there top model......is a mac that more supperior or is there somthing that i dont know about that offsets these huge diffrences ?.....thanks for time and input

You're comparing Mac Pro workstations with regular Dell desktops...

Look into Dell's Precision line of workstations instead -- dual quad Xeons, up to 64GB of RAM.
