I've done my own comparisons, things that I think too many people are over looking.

This is the Dual G5 2.0GHz vs a Dual Xeon 3.06GHz...

Length of name:
G5-2
Xeon-4

You can see here that the Xeon scores *twice* what the G5 does.

Similarity of name to a noble gas:

G5-0%
Xeon-80%

Now here the Xeon is only 1 letter (20%) away from being the name of a noble gas. As we all know, noble gases are extremely stable, something the Xeon is known for. You don't know what the hell the G5 will go off bonding with.

Cheesegratercaseiosity Marks:

G5-85
Xeon-4

Ah, a win for the G5 and a big one at that. You'd be lucky to get anything with the Xeon, but you can tackle hard cheeses like parmesean with the G5. A side note that the Xeon is much better for making a fodue out of the cheese. It's a trade off.

Ad Stupidity:

G5-198323
Xeon- 0

Any company that has Jeff Goldblum as the spokesperson has no credibility with me. Might as well get Woody Allen on downers to do your ads.

Winner:

Xeon

Just waiting until 5am. :)

Edit: You're missing an 'e' at the end of 'therefore' in your sig.

We aren't allowed to stream over the internet except for high school football games. I don't have a "show" per se. I run the boards and do random voice work.

Edit: Here is my first ever commercial.

what do you mean "random voice work"? Like ads or the cool radio vocal effects (unnatural echos and high-pitch voices?)

I do:

Weathers
Commercials
Indiana Sports reports
Public announcements
Occasionally the news

I used to do News full time. I was on the air maybe 30 minutes every hour between 3 stations. I stopped doing that for workplace friction reasons, but I still do it occasionally.

I was trying to get an overnight jazz and blues show, because we just play absoulte crap overnight, but they said it would cost something like $1000/mo in extra fees to the RIAA to play the music.

I think this sums it up. I'd love to see ANYONE try to argue those points. ;)

You may have to adjust your focus onto Electronica as there are more artists who aren't affiliated with [dia]RIAA:p. Really cool techno while driving is so nice.

:)

I live in a small town in southern Indiana that hasn't moved out of the 1950's. We had angry people call in because our Oldies DJ played a parody song with the word "sucks" in it.

It's like a retirement community, but these people have been here all of their lives. The Oldies station was Classic Rock, but churches complained about bands like The Eagles and The Doors.

Yes, before you ask, I'm planning on moving next year. I'm not from here and this place scares me. :p
