mac/pc hard drive compatibility...

so i have an external usb2 drive, ntfs formatted. will it work plug n play with my friends mac laptop?

Doubt it, i think the cross platform format of choice is FAT32.

I believe Mac OSX can read NTFS but not write to it. Like Bob said, FAT32 is the choice.
