Mac passwords..

I have a user with a weird questions. He said his password has a "+" in it. On his home mac, his password gets rejected at web loginsbut works on his home PC. Is there a difference between the keyboard or the guy is just crazy.

There shouldn't be a difference. Shift+= is the '+' on both Windows, OS X, Linux, etc.

Have him type his password in a text editor, check to make sure it is correct, then copy and paste it in the password field. See if that works. If it doesn't, I don't think it could be a keyboard issue.

I believe the dash / hyphen / minus characters are different between the one on the number pad and the one near the backspace key.

I have definitely had a password that worked on a Windows keyboard but not on a Mac keyboard and the different hyphen character on the same key was the problem (literally had Mac and PC versions of the same Kensington SlimType USB keyboard connected to the same Windows PC).

My password has a mix of everything and I had to make a secondary password when I use macs because it always comes up with problems, i'd suggest having him make a new password so it can rid the conflict.
