Tiger 10.4.11 is out, but it includes Safari 3.0.

For some people that is a good thing, since Safari 3.0 adds some new features, but for me it's not such a good thing. Several plug-ins don't work properly with 3.0, which means that on my main desktop I'm limited to using 10.4.10.

What's included?

What plugins do you use for Safari? I'm only using Inquisitor right now.

My main concern is the client plug-in for LogMeIn. It doesn't support Safari 3.0 in Leopard. I don't know about its support in Safari 3.0 in Tiger, but I'm not going to chance it.

They also have a Java version which sort of works, but not completely, and it's slower.

Other stuff like PithHelmet doesn't work either apparently, but I don't use it.

I hope there's another update, at least for Safari 3.

Tooltips are broken. They only show URL's or some javascript command. I don't know if they were broken in 2.0. That and I don't see a PDF toolbar on PDF files. I know right-click gives the same functionality, but I don't like doing that. It sure would be nice if they put in. Otherwise I'm back to using Schubert's PDF plug-in.

I wonder if we'll get Safari 4.0. Now that Windows users are getting Safari for free, it would be a shame if 10.4 got stuck with an older version of Safari than Vista or even XP. Imagine what fanboys would say if this happened. Well, Apple could always pull Safari for Windows. Most Windows users seem to hate it.

Edit: Tooltips seem to work in the windows version of Safari. Hopefully the combo update will fix this problem.

Safari 3 ver. Windows seems fast. Like IE6 fast. Imo, that was the fastest browser ever. Hopefully they'll put in middle-click scroll before it becomes final.
