This is one you should probably uninstall any haxies before installing. Dont ask me why, Im not sure, but I have a similar problem to the problem I have with the 10.1.5 update. Grey Mac screen with no beach ball. Hopefully I dont have to format again 😛

Anyhow, grab it if you want it 🙂

youre like me. no matter how easy the OS is, you can break it. =) at least it's a hell of a lot easier reinstalling the OS.

This is starting to turn me off of OS X. I dont break my OpenBSD machines this much. Of course, I havent been doing as much with them lately 😛

I don't know what you've been doing to your poor machines but it installed just fine on both my ibook and tower...

I've been seeing a lot more mac posts around this BBS lately...

Nice to see it...I get OSX info and it keeps me from having to go to the actual mac forums and getting flamed for being a pc guy also..😉

I may have misunderstood..What I meant was that it is nice to see more people around here posting about macs and mac topics. Especially when it comes to OSX.

P.S. Posting this from my mac

🙂

Security Update July 2002 includes the updated components, Apache v1.3.26, mod_ssl v2.8.9 and OpenSSH v3.4p1, which provide increased security to prevent unauthorized access to applications, servers, and the operating system.

That's nothing... I have to go to service source about twice every week to read up on how to fix OLD mac products. The only new thing's we've gotten recently was an iBook, a cube, and a G4 Server...

What caused you to have to reformat? I haven't had to do that yet, even with Beta. Just curious! 🙂

I would apply some of these updates and when I reboot it stops at the grey Mac screen. No beach ball, nothing. After the reformat though, all of the updates go through smoothly. So it was probably one of the things I installed or changed that screwed it up.
