Mac OS visualization issue

Hello,

The problem I'm facing is one I thought would be simple to fix. Apparently, I'm not familiar enough with the OS to understand how to fix it. So let's see if you guys are!

The problem is a simple one. There are a row of icons when the computer is loaded that you can mouse over and click on to load the various pieces of installed software on the computer. Just like a quick launch for Windows basically.

Well, it would seem the person in question changed something without realizing it. There is now a visualization change. When you mouse over any of those icons, the one you're moused over grows. Like it's zooming in on it. He hates this, and wants it to revert back to what it was set at previously. Anyone know how to change this setting?

Thanks!

I can't go over to his place now, but I told him about your directions on how to fix it. He said that the dock option was there, but nothing about "Grow".

Magnify. The word is Magnify.

The launcher is called the Dock.

There should be a checkbox next to Magnify in the System Preferences, just uncheck it.

You can also 'right click' on the little divider on the dock between your apps and documents and turn magnification on/off.
