mac monitor woes

Hiya,

I have a nvidia quadro4, w/vga and dvi out, with possibility to setup dual monitors. i currently have a 17 inch monitor taking up the vga port; and now here's my question:

i have a 15inch old mac multiscan monitor. i also have a dvi to vga adapter, so essentially my card is dual vga out.

is there any way i can use this monitor as my second? if i use a dvi to vga adapter, then a vga to mac adapter on top of that, would it be too much signal conversion?

or does there exist a dvi to older mac monitor adapter?

any help / referrals to sites is VERY greatly appreciated in advance.

there is an Apple display to VGA adapter but not for DVI. You'd need your main monitor on DVI and secondary (mac one) on VGA

will going through two adapters, namebly dvi to vga, then vga to mac; cause any noticeable image degradation?
