Mac Mini without superdrive: is there anything you can't do with external dvd burner?

Just wondering if there are any limitations in Tiger / Leopard where an internal superdrive would be seen differently than an external dvd burner?

None that I have ever noticed

The only thing you can't do with an external optical drive that you can with an internal is boot off it.

And the external will probably be faster.
