Mac (Media Access Control)

The MAC(Media Access Control) address is your computer's unique hardware. My question is very it is located? In the processor or where?
Thanks

The MAC is not unique to a computer but rather to an ethernet card. So I believe it's programmed on a ROM on your ethernet card.

Like Shmorq said it is burnt into a ROM on your Ethernet card. From Windows NT/2000 you can go to a command prompt and type "ipconfig /all" to get it (It's listed as physical address.) Or from Windows 9x/Me click start/run and type "winipcfg"
