Hey guys, the mac noob again. My girlfriend has been working on a project for two days straight, and was almost done. She had saved it multiple times (as in overrighting original) and then all of a sudden all her work went crazy. As in the magazine spread she was recreating completely dissapeared and some weird lines and arrows appeared. Quark popped up an error and closed.

Now the file crashes Quark everytime it is opened. Considering midterms are monday, and she has so many projects restarting such a large project is a last resort. What can i do to get the file opened? Even better, is there a way to revert to an earlier save of the file? I have no idea what to do, and she is so frustrated, I hate seeing her like this after so much hard work.

Please help,

Rob

Yeah it is OSX, powerbook G4. It is in the process of repairing permissions now.

Maybe Quark generates invisible temporary files similar to those of Microsoft Office's autosave feature? With TinkerTool you can tell Finder to show hidden files and to hide them again (it's easy).

If there's a Quark compatible program on the laptop, try to open the file with it.
