Well, his iBook has some wierd display problem, which looks sort of like video-tearing or some rendering bug. portions of the screen will be torn or displayed incorrectly with strange shapes and tears, and it changes when he moves the cursor. it's kind of like someone just went wild with the cutout tool in photoshop and moved some parts around.
anyways I tried to help him but I have no clue what it is, seems sort of like video driver or video hardware itself. anyone have a clue? he sent it back to apple and they said it was fine.
Now i know there were reported ibook 2001 problems, but are those fixxed now? Or is this having the same sort of crappy "logic board" or other problems from previous generations
