Hello

I have a friend that has a mac and having a problem with it: I am not familiar with mac PC's so I am no help to them..

Here is the email they sent to me.. Any help is appreciated: Thanks

Can you give me some advice on my wifi network?
I have my Airport Extreme set up (as you know) for our home network.
I upgraded from Tiger to Leopard on my laptop and Snow Leopard on my desktop (Leopard first, then Snow). Now my Airport Express units won't work. Either the Airport Utility won't recognize them at all, recognizes them but the configuration doesn't take, .... I have reset so many times and checked all the setting to duplicate them.
It worked fine before the upgrade.
I have done all the software update checks, and the computer assures me that everything is up to date.
I even took the laptop to school and tried using the network there to reset the units--I've straight-wired them with the ethernet cable, just tried wireless...I've taken the ethernet straight from the router here at home, straight from the wall at VU, even from the computer to the units.

Do I just have two little white bricks? Or am I overlooking something

Factory reset the expresses, for some reason I had the same problem with an express setup @ work, when I took it home and did a factory reset I was able to input all the configurations correctly and get it to save.

Factory default reset
  1. Disconnect the AirPort Express from power.
  2. Press and hold the reset button with a pen or pencil, then plug the AirPort Express back in while continuing to hold the button until you see the light flash rapidly. This should happen after a few seconds.
  3. Release the button. The AirPort Express will factory default reset.

Factory default reset (using reset button)

If the AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule isn't accessible from AirPort Utility, the Factory Default reset can be accomplished by using the reset button.

  1. Unplug the AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule from power.
  2. Press and hold the reset button with a pen or pencil, then plug the AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule back in while continuing to hold the button until you see the light (LED) flash rapidly. This should happen after a few seconds.
  3. Release the button. This will factory default reset the AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule.
