MAC from IP

I can only give you a hint!

If you figure out how to find the VIN of a Car, by only knowing the license plate ID, you would be able to figure the MAC from the IP.
 
If the machine is on the other side of a router (or several routers), you won't be able to see the MAC without being able to see the stats of the port the machine is plugged into.

A MAC address is only significant on the local segment (broadcast domain).
