MAC.com account - how much storage?

Long story.....user I support at work is set on using iDisk to upload files to her MAC.com account to share in public area.

We are trying to point out other (better) options

How much storage space do you get on a MAC.com account?

You get 250megs w/ the $99/year, but you can pay for more. You really only get 235meg, b/c you HAVE to devote a minimum of 15 megs to e-mail storage.

It's a terrible way to go, escpecially since .mac outtages happen at least once a week, seriously.

i had it for 1 year and it was a terrible investment.

mac.com usually gives the answer 😉 But it's 250MB combined storage email for a standard account

doh, i opened the thread a while ago.. too slow..

Its a good idea and is seemlessly integrated into all apple software, but the problem i had was that Idisk crashed almost everytime or i was getting transfer rates around 3kb/sec from any computer used on. Currently .Mac is way, way, way, way overpriced.

To add to Inguyens post, you can add more storage up to 2gb for quite a bit more $$.

It gives the option to set one or leave it open. To do this, i think you go through the .mac main page, click on the idisk button and there should be options/preferences on it.
