My GF has an iMac, and she may need a laptop for school. She likes MacBook Air, which would work for her in all aspects.
One issue that I have a question about is the ability of Apple laptops to connect to external displays and projectors. On the Apple site it says all Apple laptops have this "Mini DisplayPort video output with support for DVI, dual-DVI, and VGA video output via adapters" that supposedly lets it connect to whatever you want. My question is whether it really works as advertised without any issues because, besides serving as a simple medium for running Office, the primary function for her laptop will be presentations on the big screen to which the MacBook Air would have to be connected.
Thanks.
