i have a external firewire 200gb and the mac9.2 afet initialize,it can only format upto 127g. what is the best way to get the most of the hard drive size?
Did the firewire drive come as a kit, or is it a 200GB drive installed into a seperately purchases firewire enclosure? If it came as a premade kit, I have no help for you, sorry.
If the drive and enclosure were initially bought sepeately and installed together, the enclosure chipset may not support drives over 137GB. If this is a case, you need a new enclosure that supports the ATA-6 standard for drives over 137GB. Enclosures with the OXUF922 IDE to FireWire chipset will work. Older ones with the 911 chipset will not.
