Did the firewire drive come as a kit, or is it a 200GB drive installed into a seperately purchases firewire enclosure? If it came as a premade kit, I have no help for you, sorry.

If the drive and enclosure were initially bought sepeately and installed together, the enclosure chipset may not support drives over 137GB. If this is a case, you need a new enclosure that supports the ATA-6 standard for drives over 137GB. Enclosures with the OXUF922 IDE to FireWire chipset will work. Older ones with the 911 chipset will not.

Some information in a white paper titled ?Utilizing High Capacity ATA-6 (>137GB) Drives in FireWire Enclosures?.

Hope this helps.
