Hey,
I have a biostar M7NCD Pro with a Mobile 35w 2200+ barton o/ced to 2.4ghz. For some reason, my case temp won't go below 43C even when I have the AC in my room at full blast and the measured temp in my room is approx 60F. And in normal room temp (~80F) the case temp is 45C which doesn't make sense to me. Furthermore, my cpu temp is ~53C in normal room temp even though I have an ALX-800 HS with a TT smartfan II running at full blast and goes as high as 58C on heavy load; with full blast AC it goes down to 44C (1C above case temp) I have 5 case fans running in my system (2 front, 2 back and 1 on side all Panaflos ) or 8 if you count the intake and output fans of my PSU. All these temps are recorded by MBM and my system is as follows:
22w mobile barton at 2.4ghz 1.75vcore
Thermalright ALX-800 w/ TT SmartFan 2 (full blast) w/ Arctic Silver 2
Biostar M7NCD pro
TT Silent PurePower 480w
1x 40gig maxtor
2x 120gig maxtor
ATI Radeon 8500LE
512mb Kingston Valueram PC3200
SB Audigy
1x DVD-ROM
1x CD-RW
Aspire X-Dreamer mid-tower

My question is, can the case/cpu temp be some sort of error caused by the location/placement of the thermal diodes? Can someone explain to me how to improve my temps since so many people have a similar heatsink on the same O/C and seem to be achieving MUCH lower temps (~40-45C)? Note that I did unclutter my case full of wires and made sure the CPU/hs area and the intakes are cleared. Thx for the help.
