Hi,

Thinking of getting Asus M4A89TD PRO/USB3 or Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5. Which one to get?

originally was thinking Crosshair IV, but it is like Aus$150 more expensive then M4A89TD. Also, won't be going with 1090T (waiting for bulldozer, and hope that it is 100% compatible with 890 chip).

Any thought?

Purpose: Gaming (Dawn of War II, WoW, dragon age origins), drafting (AutoCAD), engineering (RAPT, Excel, RAM-Concept(finite element analysis, but light weight compare to ANSYS)).

thanks.

For gamming, buy the Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 and a dedicated graphic card as the ATI 5770 (a 5850 even better if you can afford the price). His and Sapphire are very good brands.

Edit: Nevermind. I thought M4A89TD PRO/USB3 was 890GX. It's 890FX, I've learned.

It's a tough choice but in the end I'd be inclined to the ASUS board.
