I'm considering upgrading my computer. I had previously considered upgrading to an i7 either Haswell or Ivy Bridge; however I'd like to see if I can upgrade my current system first. When I purchase blu-rays, I rip them for playback on my HTPC and iOS devices. When using handbrake for this process my CPU utilization hits 100%.

MoBo: M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 850
RAM: 8GB PNY @ 669Mhz
I wondering with my current motherboard if I could upgrade to a FX-8120?
