Hello all,
Doing my first build in a long time and I have run into an issue. After setting up everything and starting up the PC I get.......nothing, a blank screen. Now I noticed that the MEM LED was on so I am in the process of ordering a different set of RAM. However I have some questions, but before I ask let me list my stuff.

M4A88T-M
AMD Athlon II x4 635
XFX Radeon 4850 1GB
Antec 550 Power Supply
HD, DVD, CDROM, etc.

All of the fans, hard drive, 4850 fan, cpu fan and DVD/CDRom drives start up just fine.
Even without the RAM should I have seen something on my computer screen? It's completely blank. I know the monitor works.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

How about trying this:

unplug/disconnect everything but CPU/HSF, ram and Video Card. Make sure the PSU is connected correctly to the motherboard and the Video Card.

Now try booting up. Do you get a POST beep? Anything on the screen? All fans working but nothing else?

If nothing then try another video card and see. If still nothing, try another PSU.

Think I am in trouble neither the hd4850 or onboard video gives me anything. Even without working RAM will I see something?

probably not. Mine would just beep like mad if there was no ram installed.

You need to isolate the problem. Could be a bad board, cpu or PSU.

Testing you parts in a good working system will eliminate some of them as the cause.

I have tried a single stick of RAM and alternating slots in which they are installed. I really think that the RAM is not compatible with the Motherboard. I thought it might be as I have never had an issue with Corsair RAM, but it turns out this board has major issues with RAM. I ordered a 2X2GB set from Crucial that is compatible with the board according to their website.

I don't have any beeping however I do not have an external speaker in which I can connect the speaker pins too. My case(antec 300) does not have the eternal speaker option from what I can tell.

I'm having the exact same issue. :/ Ordered the board (M4A88T-I) (the Mini-ITX version of this board) and hooked everything up, and nothing on the screen.

AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition
4 GB Mushkin DDR3 1333MHz RAM
1 TB Samsung Spinpoint 7200 RPM HDD
200W power supply
Onboard ATI Radeon HD 4250

EDIT: My MEMOK! LED has never turned on either, so my RAM is good. :/

I'm simply puzzled. Everything spins up, CPU fan and case fan, hard drive and ODD all look as if they're going through the boot sequence, but nothing on the monitor. It doesn't help that there's no PC Speaker pins on the motherboard, either!

And I know it's not the monitor. I'm using it right now for my Mac mini.

Did you find any solutions? I'm thinking it's a bad board, honestly. :/

Well that's not good. No fix yet but I am still waiting on my RAM. I will update this once I receive the RAM and am I able to run some tests. Let me know if your situation changes.
