So I had 2x2gb 10600 and 2x2gb 8500 1.5v installed on that board. Took them out to put in 4X2gb 12800 (1600mhz) 1.65v
As soon as I turned the computer on it started beeping and I smelled burned(without seeing flames).
Turned it off IMMEDIATELY. Put in my previous RAM and same pattern, beep - bip/bip on loop. Fans work, mobo light is on, no display, nothing. Did I fry something?!

I am like a 5 yo (probably more toddler, kids these days are wicked smart) when it comes down to computer technical stuff so please be gentle in your explanation

CPU: Athlon II x4 630
GPU: Nvidea Geforce 610 GT

Alternatively, I did some research online and went on search for ASUS beep codes. 1x long and 2x short means RAM issue, apparently. According to manufacturer, this mobo supports up to 1333 mhz stock(o_O?) and 1600/1866 overclocked (mmmm ).

Any help or insight would be lovely before I decide to burn it to the ground myself out of sheer misery

Try one stick at a time in just one slot. You may have a bad DIMM slot, or a bad RAM stick.

Hi LTC8K6, thanks for trying to help. So I took out my GPU, and tried a ram stick 1.5V that wasn't at the origin of the failure, unfortunately, to no avail.

I should also mention that I have a RAIDMAX RX-500S PSU on there, could that have fried?!

Any info or tips on how to get my computer back to work would be greatly appreciated!
