does anyone have any concrete info on the mobile versions of amd gpus? I gave up on the desktop versions but I still need a replacement laptop.

is there a high end mobile gpu coming soon? as in within the next month? that can compete with 980m?

help a gamer out!

Nobody knows anything except that Carrizo will soon be here, but, that isn't a dGPU, so... who knows what AMD is going to do on the mobile dGPU front.

I'd be surprised if AMD released anything a whole lot faster this generation than the m370x ((cape verde?) GCN 1.0) in the new MBP.

I would go with Nvidia for a laptop. IMO we won't see anything competitive in laptops from AMD for a while yet.

well, if this board got zero info, and google turns up almost nothing, I guess 980m it is.

I would have to agree with that, even if it came down to getting a AMD for my regular PC i would get the 290x lightning instead of the 390x but that is just me... i'm not running 4k so...:whiste:

didn't think about it, but if they've got low Fiji yields, it's not like they can just sell a cutdown version somewhere. They can sell the air cooled Fury, but beyond that, it's sacrificial.

that could be tough
