Guys... they're testing the convertible unibody. It's not a "special build" for some "motorcycle accessory builder to use around the compound" (LOL, how gullible can you be?) and they aren't competing with Holden.

From sources coming from BMW's South Carolina's research center, they are doing rigidity testing on the upcoming 3/ M3 convertibles. At the 'ring, they are doing multiple tests on the convertible to eliminate any performance differences between the convertible and the coupe. As seen here, they in the early stages of examining structural hold with no interior, and lessened reinforcement, with just the 'shell' to see how the new convertible holds up to the current M3.
